29th Domino World Championship 2023
Torsten Fornefeld is Domino World Champion 2023!
This year's world championship title and runner-up title went to a team from Göttingen. Torsten Fornefeld grew up in the domino stronghold of Garbsen and managed to get fellow students interested in dominoes and train them in such a way that his team mate Matthias Breitfeld immediately won the runner-up title.
Swiss domino veteran Rolf Melcher came third.
The leading FIDO nations were all involved once again: 30 players from Norway, Germany and Switzerland took part.
Unfortunately, defending champion and 2022 World Champion Björn Andreas Wolst was unable to take part this year and the loyal World Championship team from Arendal was also unable to attend due to coronavirus.
